Birth of Samuel Empson in the IGI on 23 June 1801 and his christening on 29 July 1801 in Teversall, Nottingham, parents William Empson and Hannah Turner.
In the 1841 census as Samuel Hempshale (sic - on the original) aged 30, born in Nottinghamshire, a labourer, and living with Margaret (sister?) and Hannah (aged 13 daughter?) in Rock Valley, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. I assume that he had been married and his wife had died.
I cannot find an entry in the 1851 census.
In the 1861 census as Samuel Empson aged 45, born in Teversall, Nottinghamshire, married but not with his wife, a former iron founder and living with his sister (Margaret) at 16 Meeting House Lane, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
Death of Samuel Empson in FreeBMD in January-March 1866 aged 68 in Mansfield (7b 56).
Teversal is 4 miles west of Mansfield on B6014.
Samuel Empson was Felicity's third great granduncle.
