Notes

Christening of Elizabeth Dedman in the IGI on 11 February 1776 in Haslemere, Surrey, parents John and Elizabeth Dedman.

There is an entry in the IGI for the marriage of Elizabeth Dudman and James Kerne on 18 November 1793 in Witney, Surrey.

There are two entries in the West Surrey Family History Society Marriage Index - one for Elizabeth Dedman of Witney and James Kearn of Thursley in Thursley on 27 October 1793 by banns (I suspect this was the calling of banns, not marriage) and for Elizabeth Deadman and James Rearne of Thursley in Witney on 15 November 1793.

All the children were christened in Haslemere.

In the 1841 census as Elizabeth Kearn aged 60 (rounded down to a multiple of 5), born in Surrey and living with James (husband?), George, James, John and Sarah (children?) at Weydown Common, Haslemere,Surrey.

Her husband died in 1849.

I cannot find an entry in the 1851 census.

Entry in West Surrey Family History Society West Surrey Burial Index for Elizabeth Kern in 1855 aged 80 in Haslemere. There is also an entry in FreeBMD for the death of Elizabeth Kern in July-September 1855 in Hambledon (2a 51) which included Haslemere.

Jean Colyer Grumbling has an entry in RootsWeb WorldConnect for Elizabeth Dedman born in 1776 in Surrey, parents John Dedman and Elizabeth Colyer.
