Christening of Elspet Duncan in the IGI on 3 June 1669 in Kettins, Angus, Scotland, parents John Duncan and Magdallen Cowlt.
The entry in Scotlands People reads Kettins 1669 "June 3 1669 John Duncan and Magdallen Cowlt m ? of Balyillo had a woman and child baptized called Elspet". Nether Ballunie, Upper Ballunie and Newton of Ballunie are 0.5 miles east of Kettins on the road to Keillor while Baldinny is just south of Kettins.
I cannot find an entry for her marriage, but her name is given as Elspet Duncan, Elspeth Duncane, and Elspit Duncane for the birth of the children all christened in Newtyle. v In 1705 her husband has a daughter Janat whose mother was Mary Couper, so I assume Elspet died and he remarried.
Kettins is 14 miles NW of Dundee on A923. Newtyle is 5 miles east of Kettins on B954.
Elspet Duncan was Felicity's sixth great grandmother.
