Birth of Marian A Cowles, mother's maiden name Payne, in FreeBMD in April-June 1913 in Dartford (2a 1227).
On a copy of Entry of Death Number 160 in Billericay, Brentwood, Essex in 1946 it states that M A Cowles living at Tolangi, Church Road, Basildon informed of her mother's (Emma Louisa Alice Cowles) death on 1 July 1946.
She was employed as a Health Officer in Essex and later Kent. She was called Babs because she was the baby of the family being much younger than the other children. She never married. She lived in Romford, Essex when I was very young (I stayed with her when my mother was ill), and later moved to Folkstone (where we went for summer holidays, and would tour south east Kent in her car), Rolvenden (where we also went for holidays and later I cycled to in my early teens for several years), and Rolvenden Layne after she retired, all in Kent. She lived with Aunt Marion (Marion Challis formely Davis) for many years.
