The family had moved to Chiswick between 1884 and 1887 from the birth of her brothers Frederick and Charles.
I cannot find an entry in the 1891 census.
Her sister Ethel was born in West Drayton in 1893.
In the 1901 census as Ellen E Cowles aged 18, born in Haverill, Suffolk, employed as a drapers assistant, and living with her parents (Geo and Fanny G), four brothers (Chas C, Fred C, Harry and Reginald) and sister (Ethel Maud) in Hackney, London (original is illegible).

Maureen Kristjanson has an entry with the same information but adding the three children.
Ellen Louisa Cowles was my fifth cousin.
