I cannot find an entry for the family in the 1891 census.

His sister Ethel was born in West Drayton in 1893.

In 1956 - Though to be living somewhere in U.S.A. Born 19 Dec 1887 at 7 Wellington Place, High Road, Chiswick. 1913 - Lived at 31 Estella Avenue, New Malden, Surrey. Since going to U.S.A. has lived at Beverely Hills among other places, he returned to this Country on holiday in 1954. 5 Nov2007: Found a 1987 US death record for Mabel Deene Cowles. Did some digging and found a marriage between Charles C. Cowles and Mabel Dean in Lewisham in the 2nd quarter of 1911. Further went on to find a birth record for Mabel Dean in Newcastle T. in the 3rd quarter of 1890.

5 Nov2007: Found a New York Ship's passenger record (SS Europa) leaving Plymouth England 3 Sep1950 and arriving at the Port of New York on 11 Sep 1950. Two passengers: Charles Cowles age 62 living at 625 So. Miami Ave, Miami Fla, and his wife Mabel, age 58 (British).
