Submitted entry for the christening of Charles Cowles in the IGI on 5 November 1724 in Kirby Cane, Norfolk, parents Charles and Mary Cowles.
Submitted entry in the IGI for the marriage of Charles Cowles and Elizabeth Beamish on 11 January 1751 in Kirby Cane.
Angus Palmer has seen this entry on film : 1724 "Charles son of Cha. Cowles & Mary his wife Bapt Nov 12th".
Maureen Kristjanson and Ivor Jones each has two entries in RootsWeb WorldConnect for Charles Cowles born 5 Nov 1724 in Kirby Cane, Norfolk, parents Charles Cowles and Mary Woodrow, his marriage to Elizabeth Beamish on 11 Jan 1751 in Kirby Cane, 10 children, and his burial on 4 June 1760 in Kirby Cane. However most of the children were born in Wrentham, Suffolk in the IGI, and there are entries for a Charles Cowles christened in both Wrentham and Kirby Cane on slightly different dates, but with parents Charles and Elizabeth, and finally Charles had died in 1760 while children were being born up to 1769. Hence I believe that two families have been confused. There is an entry in FamilyHistoryOnline for the burial of Charles Cowles on 29 September 1780 aged 59 in Wrentham which would put his birth as 1721.
Kirby Cane is some 12 miles SSE of Norwich.
Charles Cowles was my third great granduncle.
