Entry in the IGI for the christening of John Edward Channell on 14 August 1825 in Headley, Hampshire, parents Charles and Susanna Channell.
The same information is in Ancestry All England, Select Births and Christenings, 1538-1975.
Entry in Headley Baptisms for John Edward Channell on 14 August 1825, parents Charles, a papermaker, and Susanna Channell of Canner's Green, Bramshott (by Hollywater Pond).
Entry in Ancestry All Surrey, England, Baptisms, 1813-1912 for John Edward Channell on 14 August 1825 at Headley, All Saints, parents Charles and Susanna Channell. "Baptisms solemnized in the Parish of Headley in the County of Southampton in the Year 1825 [...] 1825 August 14th No. 513 John Edward Son of Charles, a Paper Maker, and Susanna Channell of Canners Green, Bramshot".
His two brothers were christened in Bramshot in 1827 and 1830 and his father married Sarah West there in 1836 so I assume his mother had died.
In the 1841 census as Jno Channell aged 16, born in Hampshire, and a paper maker - this seems to be a correction to a missing entry under Charles Channel (father?), Wm (bother?), Andrew and Henry (half-brothers?) and Sarah (step mother?).
Marriage of John Channell and Caroline Baker in FreeBMD in April-June 1945 in Farnham (4 135). That of William Barnett and Jane Warren are on the same page.
Entry in Headley Marriages for John Channell, a minor, single and a papermaker of Hollywater and Caroline Baker wittnessed by William Bayley and William Barnett on 7 June 1845.
Entry in Ancestry Surrey, England, Marriages, 1754-1937 for John Channell, father Charles Channell, and Caroline Baker, father John Baker, on 7 June 1845 at Headley All Saints. "1845 Marriage solemnized at the Parish Church in the Parish of Headley in the County of Southampton No. 54 Nov 7th John Channell, a minor, Bachelor and Paper Maker of Hollywater, father Charles Channell, a paper maker, and Caroline Baker of full age and a Spinster of Barford, father John Baker, a Farmer. Married in the Parish Church according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church after Banns [...] (he made his mark) [...] in the Presence of us William Barnett (who made his mark) and William Bayley." Immediately before this in the previous entry (No 53) on the same day John Channell and Caroline Baker witnessed the marriage of William Barnett and Jane Warren (she was also a paper maker but lived in Barford).
His son was christened in Headley on 26 April 1846 when he was a paper maker of Hollywater.
I cannot find any later references to the family but a John Andrew Channel of Holywater was buried in Headley on 15 September 1849 aged six weeks, and I guess he was a son.
John Edward Channell was the husband of Caroline Baker, my second great grandaunt.
