His daughter was born in Brentwood in 1949.
They lived at Adellon, Ravenscourt Drive, Vange, Essex and 32 Fairlawn Gardens, Prittlewell, Southend on Sea.
There are eight entries in Ancestry All British Phone Books, 1880-1984 for E W Challis address 32 Fairlawn Gardens, number Southend-o-s 40972 in 1967 to 1984.
His wife died in Southend in 1993.
Entry in the Register of Deaths for Eric William Challis died on 20 January 2011 aged 90 in Southend-On-Sea, Essex SS2.
