There is an entry in the Library and Archives of Canada Passenger Lists 1865-1922 for the SS Empress of Britain owned by Canadian Pacific Railway Co departing Liverpool, England on 1 May 1908 and arriving Quebec on 8 May 1908 (829907 RG76 T-493). Amongst the Third Class Passengers on page 17 are Birtle aged 29 and a plumber, Herbert aged 4 and a plumber!, Mabel aged 27 and a wife, and Mabel aged 4 and a child, surname Bungay, all Returning Canadians, and their destination is Wpeg.
