I have no evidence that John and Mary were his parents - it is just a guess.
All the children were christened in Thursley, Surrey, but only the father's name is given.
There is an entry in West Surrey Family History Society Thursley Burials number 477 for Sarah Bedford wife of John on 1 February 1676. West Surrey Family History Society West Surrey Burials contains the same information. (Note that both state wife as if John was still alive. However I cannot find a later burial for John).
Note there is a Bedford Farmhouse c1600 SSE of Thursley near the A3 (SU906384). From Domestic Buildings Research Group (Surrey): "Interesting building retains many original features - 5 bays, Georgian wing added, faces East".
John Bedford was my seventh great grandfather.
