Entry in the 1871 census as William Baker aged 4, born in Lambeth, and living with his parents, brother (Edward), and four sisters (Elizabeth, Esther, Jessie and Sarah A) at 15 Andersons Walk, Lambeth, London.Entry in 1881 census as William Baker, aged 14, born in Lambeth, employed as a painter, and living with his parents, brother (Frank) and sister ( Esther) at 14 Andersons Walk, Lambeth, Surrey.
Entry in 1891 census as William Baker aged 24, born in Lambeth, employed as a factory labourer, and living with his parents, brother (Edward) and a boarder (Edward Cox aged 4 and born in Holborn) at 46 Thrush Street, Newington, London.
I cannot find an entry for him in the 1901 census and there is an entry in FreeBMD FreeBMD for the death of William Baker in April-June 1898 aged 30 in the Lambeth District (1d 187).
In The Bakers of Headley as Edwin’s second child, William, (actually his fifth) born in Lambeth in 1866/7. In 1881 he was living with his family at 14 Andersons Walk, working as a painter.
Lambeth was in Surrey until 1889.
I am his first cousin twice removed.
