There is an entry for the christening of John Baker in the IGI on 20 September 1760 in Headley, Hampshire, parents Nicholas Baker and Mary. His father was living at Symondstone according to an entry in Part Population of Headley in c1761.

Marriage of John Baker and Hannah Gill in the IGI on 22 November 1792 in Frensham, Surrey. Entry in West Surrey Family History Society West Surrey Marriages for John Baker of Headley, Hampshire, and Hannah Gill of this parish by license in Frensham.

Hannah Baker was buried on 11 February 1799, the same day as the christening of their youngest son.

Two entries in the IGI for the marriage of John Baker and Sarah Craft in the IGI, both in Frensham, on 4 June 1802 and 10 June 1802. Entry in West Surrey Family History Society West Surrey Marriages for John Baker of this parish and Sarah Craft of this parish on 10 June 1802 in Frensham by banns.

The burial of John Baker is in West Surrey Family History Society West Surrey Burials on 23 June 1836 aged 75 in Frensham. It is also in West Surrey Family History Society Frensham Burials and is number 404 in the Bishops Transcripts of Frensham which adds that he was of Frensham.

All the children were christened in Frensham.

The following comes from Bakers of Headley: Nicholas’ first child, John, was born on 20 September 1760. He married Hannah Gill in Frensham, Surrey on 22 November 1792, and they had five children: John born in 1793, George in 1795, Thomas in 1797, William in 1798 and Stephen in about 1799. Hannah died in 1799 and was buried at Frensham on 11 February, and on 10 June 1802 John married Sarah Craft, still in Frensham. John & Sarah had six children: Mary in 1803, Sarah in 1804, Edward in 1805, Ann in 1806, Richard in 1808 and Elizabeth in 1809. John died in 1836 and was buried at Frensham on 23 June; Sarah died (or had died) that same year.
