I cannot find him in the 1901 census but he was not living with his parents.
In the 1911 census as William Boxall aged 30, born in Godalming, and living in Guildford, Surrey.

I assume they emigrated to Canada soon after the marriage as his son was born in Vancouver in 1913 and daughter in 1914.
He enlisted on 11 November 1915 at Vancouver, British Columbia aged 32, height 5 ft 9 inches, chest 36.5 + 2.5 inches, medium complexion, brown eyes and brown hair. His birth is given as Godalming, Surrey, next of kin ohis wife Florence Boxall, address 137 Maple Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, a salesman, and had served in the Kings Royal Own Lancashire Regiment for 10 years.

G. 34 Noeux-les-Mines Communal Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.

IK Cameron and Andy R Brown have entries for William Boxall born in 1883 in Godalming, Surrey parents William Henry Boxall and Ann Isabella Bex. Matthew Savill gives his bith on 28 January 1883 in Gedalming, Surray (sic), his marriage to Florence Pheobe Josephene Smith in Guildford in June 1912, his daughter and son, and death on 8 August 1917 at Vimy Ridge, France (I am not sure about Vimy Ridge - the battle took place at Easter). E Boxall gives his parents as Henry William Boxall and Annie Elizabeth Bex, on 29 December 1915 he was in the Canadian 102 2nd BN number 760355 at Bores Battle, South Africa.
William Boxall was the husband of Florence Phoebe Josephine Smith, my first cousin twice removed.
