In the 1911 census as Harry John Baker aged 41, born in Aldershot, Hampshire, single, Surveyor As Overseer, Land Agent, Farmer and living with his widowed mother (Priscilla), sister (Mary Helen), and three servants (Joyce David aged 23, born in Erchfont, Wiltshire, single and a farm assistant, Annie Harris aged 22, born in Frensham, Surrey, single and a domestic servant, and Arthur Privett aged 18, born in Alton, Hampshire, single and a cowman) in ten rooms in Crosslane, Frensham, Farnham.

His mother died at Cross Lane, Frensham on 12 February 1912 and left effects of £912 4s 4d. to Harry John Baker Surveyor and Jesse Colman out of business.

Entry in Ancestry England & Wales, National Probate Calendar (Index of Wills and Administrations), 1858-1966 for Harry John Baker died on 27 March 1940 in Surrey, Probate 10 May 1940 London. "Baker Harry John of Lower Stone Acre Frensham, Surrey died 27 March 1940 Probate London 10 May to Ernest Frederic Crundwell solicitor. Effects £21460 4s 8d." This must have been left to his sister Mary Helen.

Bakers of Headley states Henry’s first child, Harry John, was born in about 1862. In 1881 he was living with his family at Elan Cottage in Frensham. He married Kate Poulton (born in 1871), and is remembered as the author of “Frensham: Then & Now”. (The birth date is take from the IGI index of the 1881 census - the original has 12. The marriage to Kate Poulton is also taken from this index - it is wrong as she was his half sister, never married and died in 1943. He was a co-author of Frensham Then and Now 1938, 2nd Ed 1948, the other being H C Minchin MA).

Susan F Belsey has an entry for Harry John Baker, son of Henry and Priscilla Ann Baker, born about 1870, his marriage to Kate Poulton, and his death on 27 March 1940.
