Christening of Edward Baker in the IGI on 27 December 1811 in Headley, Hampshire, parents Richard and Francis Baker.

Similar information is in Headley Baptisms except his mother is spelt Frances.

His brother and sister waere also born in Simmonstone in 1813 and 1814, but the other children were born in Frensham/Churt in 1817 to 1823.

Entry in Headley Monumental Inscriptions Stone 132 Plot N41A SW and S of Tower (N of path): "In memory of / Edward / son of Richard and Frances BAKER / who died / March 6, 1825 / aged 13 years". Collected by the Rev. W.H. Laverty, Rector of Headley 1872–1928, and published by him in 1878 as a booklet entitled ‘Epitaphs in the churchyard of All Saints’ Church, Headley, Hants’.

Entry in Headley Burials for Edward Baker on 9 March 1825 aged 13, son of Richard and Frances at Churt with small pox and brought from Farnham.

Bakers of Headley states Richard’s younger son by his second marriage was Edward, born in 1812. He died of chickenpox just thirteen years later, in Churt, and was buried in Headley on 3 September 1825. (Day and Month reversed).

Edward Baker was my fourth cousin once removed.
