Birth of Anne Alexander in the IGI on 7 January 1855, and her christening on 4 February 1855 at Christ Church, Greyfriars, Newgate, London, parents William and Anne Ellen Alexander.

In the 1861 census as Anne Alexander aged 6, born in Paddington, Middlesex, and living with her parents (William and Anne Ellen), two brothers (John and William Henry), sister (Ellen) and aunt (Eliza Frances Burrel) at 57 Princess Street, St Marylebone St John, Middlesex.

Her father died in 1863 and mother in 1869, both in Kensington.

In the 1871 census as Annie Alexander aged 16, born in Surrey, Middlesex, and a servant living with George William Teaque aged 38, born in Pattington, Middlesex and a railway porter, his wife (Esther Leager - Teaque - aged 38, born in Surrey, Middlesex and a house keeper) and daughter (Georgenia Leager - Georgina Esther Martha Teaque - aged 9 and born in Surrey, Middlesex) at 24 Kildare Terrace, Paddington, Middlesex.
