Birth of George Enoch Adams in FreeBMD in July-September 1856 in Depwade (4b 37) which included Diss (the original is almost illegible, but I think this is the correct entry)
In the 1861 census as George E Adams aged 4, born in Diss and living with his parents (Enoch and Betsey), brother (Amos Wm), two sisters (Hannah M and Harriet Ann), and a servant (Martha Norris aged 14 and born in Diss) at Cock Street, Diss, Norfolk.
His father died in 1862 in Hartismere which included Palgrave.
In the 1871 census as George Adams aged 14, born in Diss, employed as a bricklayer's labourer and living with his widowed mother (Betsey), brother (George) and sister (Hannah) in Palgrave, Suffolk.
In the 1881 census as Enock G. Adams aged 24, born in Diss, a soldier on leave and living with his mother (Betsey), brother (Amos W), and sister (Hannah M) at Andrews Yard, St Stephen's Street, Norwich St Stephen, Norfolk.
I cannot find any later information
Palgrave is 2 miles south of Diss.
George Enoch Adams was my second cousin twice removed.
