Daniel Swickard has an entry for Andrew J Adams born 18 February 1837, parents Joseph Adams and Susan Swickard, his marriage to Hanna Elizabeth Craven on 21 October 1869 in Jasper, Iowa, and his death on 7 July 1881. Andrew was born in Franklin Co., OH and Hannah in Wayne Co., NY. In 1870, they were living in Dallas Co., IA. In 1880, they were living in Jasper Co., IA. Andrew’s nephew, Herbert E. Jack, was living with them. In 1900, Hannah was a widow living in Jasper Co. with her son, Beldon. She had had 3 children and all were then living. Andrew and Hannah both died in Jasper Co., IA and are buried in Kellogg Our Silent City Cemetery there. He adds (under Ardillis Alvin Adams) that Andrew was in the Union Army around 1861-1864 in Company M of the 4th Missouri Cavalry and fought under fought under Generals Fremont, Sigel and Wallace.
