There is also an entry in the Ancestral File containg the same information, but giving the parents as James Jr. Absalom and Elizabeth Hudson.

There is an entry in FamilyHistoryOnline Northumberland Baptisms for James Absalom on 7 June 1789, parents James Absalom (a sailor) and Elizabeth, at Earsdon.

I cannot find an entry in the 1841 census.

In the 1851 census as James Absalom aged 61, born in Earsdon, Northd, unmarried, employed as a rope maker and living with his sister (Elizabeth Cook), her husband (Ralph) and two children (Ralph and Sarah) in Cowpen Square, Cowpen, Northumberland.

Entry in FreeBMD for the death of James Absalom in October-December 1857 in Tynemouth (10b 123) which included Cowpen.

William and Grace Barras have an entry in Ancestry Public Member Trees for James Absalom born in 1789, parents James Absalom and Elizabeth Hudson, and 1851 and 1881 census entries. However I cannot find an entry in the 1881 census.

Relationship

James Absalom was the granduncle of Susannah Emily Absalom, the wife of George Fullick, my third cousin twice removed.
