Another family lived at the same address.
In the 1911 census as William Smith Or Skinkis aged 20, born in Poland, a Russian Polish subject, single, a tailor and employer working at home, and living with his parts (Archer and Mary), sister (Maggie), and two boarders (Alexandra Prentis aged 37, born in St Georges, single and a tailor, and Joseph Giodiskus aged 45, born in Poland, a Russian Polish Subject, single, and a tailor) in five rooms at 21 Creton (Criton on the original) Street, South Woolwich, London.

Entry in Ancestry British Army WWI Service Records, 1914-1920 for Waitiakas Skinkis aged 26 years 30 days, a Russian subject, address 68 Beresford St, Woolwich, married, wife Maricanna? Skinkis, married at St Peters Church, Woolwich on 2 November 1912, two children (Waitiekus Joseph born in Woolwich on 18 April 1916 and Wikta Veronica Azilis born in Marylebone on 22 October 1912, a tailor, enlisted as No. 385391 Queen's Own (Royal West Kent) Regiment on 1 August 1916 in Woolwich. Height 5 ft 8 in, chest 39 + 3 in, He was transferred to the 11th Middlesex Regiment on 22 April 1917, to the Labour Corps on 22 October 1917 and discharged at Nottingham on 12 December 1919 and living at the same address. On 20 February 1918 when on active service he was found in an Estaminet [cafe?] during prohibited hours, on 15 May 1918 he was absent returning off leave for 24 hours, and on 29 June 1918 when on active service he was out of his billet after 9.30 pm. He was awarded the British war Medal and Victory Medal on 8 June 1921 as a private in the Labour Corps. A letter states that Waitiakus Joseph Skinkis was born on 18 April 1916 at 68 Beresford Street, Woolwich, and Victoria Orelis was born on 22 October 1912 at Marylebone Workhouse, London, father unknown, mother Majorie Ozekis, no payment was received from her parents and she was adopted for all time. A death certificate for Annie states she died at 68 Beresford St, Woolwich on 2 May 1918 aged 10 months when he was a master tailor and a private in the 11th Middlesex Regiment. His wife was present at the death and made her mark.
His son was born in Woolwich in 1916, mother's maiden name Sztarute, daughter in Woolwich in 1917, mother's maiden name Staves,and daughter in 1920 mother's maiden name Sztaras.
His wife died in Woolwich in 1957.
