In the 1891 census as Blanche V L Mott aged 11 months, born in Penge, Surrey and living with her parents (Frank and Martha M), adopted brother (Harold M Merredno), grandparents (Henry Mott - head of household - and Sarah A) aunt (Laura), and a visitor (May J Palmer aged 22, born in Southwold, Suffolk, single and no stated employment) at 45 Hawthorne Grove, Penge, London.

In the 1901 census as Blanch (sic - on the original) Mott aged 10, born in Penge, Kent, and living with her parents (Frank and Martha), and brother (Harry) in three rooms at 5 Crampton Road (on other side of A234 to Penge West Station), Penge, Kent (this address was shared with another family).

Her father died in 1902.

In the 1911 census as Blanche V L Mott aged 20 and living with Martha (mother?) and Henry J (brother?) in Croydon, Surrey.
