Birth of Frederick Marden in FreeBMD in April-June 1884 in Havant (2b 477).

He was born in Emsworth, Hampshire but moved to Thursley by 1887 from the birth of Edwin.

In the 1891 census as Frederick Marden aged 7, born in Emsworth, Hampshire, and living with his parents (Henry and Charity E), four brothers (Edwin J, Ernest Walter, Henry W and Nannie Stan (Maurice Stephen)), sister (Mary), and a lodger (Henry Boxall aged 29, born in Thursley, single, and a general labourer) at the Red Lion, Thursley, Surrey.

In the 1901 census as Frederick Marden aged 19 in the index, 17 on the original, born in Emsworth, Hampshire, a farmer's son working at home and living with his parents (Henry and Charity), four brothers (Edwin, Ernest, Henry and Maurice) and two cousins (Ada and Maud - daughters of Stephen Marden and Minnie Whiten Hughes) at Linsted Farm, Headley, Hampshire.
