Notes

Birth of Elizabeth Marden in FreeBMD in January-March 1855 in Farnham (2a 62).

Christening of Elizabeth Marden in the IGI on 8 April 1855 in Frensham, Surrey, parents William and Charlotte Marden.

In the 1861 census as Elizebeth Marden aged 6, born in Frensham, Surrey, and living with her parents (William and Charlotte), two brothers (James and Stephen) and sister (Mary) in Churt, Frensham, Surrey.

In the 1871 census as Elizabeth Marden aged 16, born in Churton (sic in the index, Churt on the original), Surrey, no stated employment, and living with her parents (William and Charlotta Marshall (sic - in the index, correct on the original), two brothers (James Maershall and Stephen Marden), and sister (Mary Marshall), in Churt, Frensham, Surrey. This was at Dutton? Hill? between Broomfield Cottage and Red Hearne.

I cannot find an entry in the 1881 census , but may be Elizabeth Marden aged 26, born in Chertsey, London (I can find no other reference to her), single, and a housemaid living with Caroline A. George (aged 78, born in Yalding, Kent a widow, and no stated employment), her sister (Emma M Shaw aged 83, born in Yalding, single and no stated employment) and another servant (Fanny Salter aged 21, single, a cook, and born in Down, Deven) at 17 Philips Road, Kingston, Surrey.

In the 1891 census as Elizabeth Marden aged 36, born in Churt, Frensham, and living with her parents (William and Charlotte) at Dutton's Cottage, Churt, Frensham (this was by Red Hearne Green - the Duttons had a grocers shop there).

In the 1901 census as Elizabeth Murden (sic - in the index, correct on the original) aged 46, born in Churt Surrey, single. no stated employment, and living with her father (William - given as married but his wife had died in 1896) at Duttons Hollow, Churt, Frensham.

Her father died in 1908.

Death of Elizabeth Marden in FreeBMD in October-December 1925 aged 71 in Alton (2c 219).
