Marriage of John Croucher and Ann Arlett in the IGI on 10 November 1818 in Froyle, Hampshire. There is a submitted entry with the same information but his surname is spelt Chroucher. The same information (spelt Croucher) is in Froyle Marriages.

The following entry is in the Ancestry Hampshire Allegations for Marriage Licences, 1689-1837 Volume 1:

Croucher, John, of Froyle, late servant to Lord Bolton, 40, b., & Ann Arlett, of the s., 26, sp., at F., 07 Nov 1818. Thomas Croucher, of the s., footman, bondsman. Does this refer to Harry Powlett, 6th Duke of Bolton who held the manor of Kingsclere until his death, when it was inherited by his elder brother's illegitimate daughter who married Thomas Orde, who assumed the additional surname and arms of Paulet, and was elevated to the peerage of Lord Bolton. And was Thomas John's brother?

His son was born in Bentley.

There is an entry in Froyle Burials for John Croucher on 16 June 1823 aged 46.

The following entry in is Froyle Monumental Inscriptions:

148 Sacred to the memory of JOHN CROUCHER who died June 12th 1823 aged 47 years. Also of ANN, MUGGERIDGE who died May 24 1870 aged 79 years. (FS - J.C. 1823, A.M. 1870). I assume his wife remarried, but I cannot find any further infomation except she was a widow in the 1851 census.
