The only definate information is that John and Elisa Croucher were the parents of John Croucher christened in Dorking in 1818, and this was before the marriage of John Croucher and Eliza Capon in 1820.

There is also an entry in the 1851 census for John Croucher aged 50, born in Dorking, widowed, a labourer and lodging with James Cook (aged 49, born in Dorking and an agricultural labourer), his wife (Elizabeth aged 46 and born in Leigh, Surrey), their two sons (Alfred and George Coors), four daughters (Mary Ann Scriven aged 29, married, and a servant, Marica Coors aged 18, Eliza Coors aged 9, and Emily Coors aged 4, all born in Dorking), and a son-in-law (Samuel Sansing aged 24, born in Stedham, Sussex, widowed? and an agricultural labourer) in Ram Alley, Dorking, Surrey.
