In the 1841 census aged 25, born in Hampshire, and living with William Westmackett aged 72, Lucy Westmackett aged 55, Celia Clapshaw aged 25, and Mary Croucher (her sister?) in Binstead Street, Binstead.

In the 1851 census as Jane Cobden born in Kingsley, and living with her huband (Charles), two sons (Chas and Henry), two daughter (Jane and Sarah), a house servant (Mary Croucher aged 17 and born in Binsted - no relationship is given, but I assume it is Jane's sister), another house servant (Jane Gardinar aged 10 and born in Empshott), a servant (William Corps aged 16, born in Binsted and employed as an agricultural labour - Wlliam and Elizabeth Corps and their daughter are living at the next entry) at Hill Place, Empshott, Hampshire.
In the 1861 census as Jane Cobden aged 47, born in Kingsley, and living with her husband (Charles), three sons (Charles, Edward and Henry), and three daughters (Jane, Olive and Sarah) at Hill Place, Empshott.
In the 1871 census as Jesse Coleman (sic - in the index, correct on the original) aged 58, born in Kingsley, and living with her husband (Charles), son (Charles), three daughters (Jesse (sic), Olive and Sarah) and a domestic servant (Martha Powell aged 15 and born in Steep) at Empshott, Grayshott,Hampshire (I believe this to be Hill Place).
Her husband died in 1876.
In the 1881 census as Jane Cobden, aged 67, born in Kingsley, a farmer's widow, and living with her son (Charles), two daughters (Jane and Sarah) and a domestic servant (Martha Lacey aged 16 and born in Selbourne) at Hill Place, Empshott.
