In the 1901 Canadian Census as James W Croucher born 10 January 1894, aged 6, born in Ontario, and living with his parents (John E and Maggie T), and a sister (Annie B) at Medora & Wood, Simcoe, Ontario

James William Henry Croucher was born 10 January 1895 (sic - this contradicts the census entry), parents John Croucher and Marymargaret Kaye, his marriage to Edna May Massey, and a son John Paul Croucher. He was apparently known as William. He owned a garage in Port Carling, Ontario, Canada that had been built by Douglas Massey, and opened it on 15 April 1936. It closed after his death in the 1960s.
