Notes

Birth of Henry Croucher in FreeBMD in October-December 1859 in the Lymington District, but I don't have a certificate and there is no entry in IGI, and I can't find an entry in the 1871 census.

In 1881 census aged 21, born in Lymington, Hampshire, unmarried, employed as a coppersmith and boarding with Henry B Talbert (aged 50, born in Gretton, Northampton andemployed as a labourer in an ironworks), his wife Elzabeth (aged 40 and born in Hull, Yorkshire), their two daughters Elizabeth aged 15 and Jane aged 15 both born in Deptford and employed as domestic servants, and another boarder ThomasCorbett (aged 54, born in Kinlet, Shropshire and employed as a pattern maker (E&M)) at 5 Edward Steet, Deptford St Paul, Kent. I am sure Elizabeth was his future wife.

In 1891 census aged 30, born in Lymington, employed as a coppersmith and living with his wife, two daughters (Lilian and Gertrude) and son Harold in a four room house at 119 Northumberland Road, St Mary, Southampton.

In 1901 Census aged 41, born in Lymington, employed as a coppersmith, and living with his wife, three daughters (Talbot, Edith and Olive) and a son Harold in a four room house at 119 Northumberland Road, St Mary, Southampton.

The names of the two eldest daughters differ between the 1891 and 1901 census.
