The only information is in the following entry from Access to Archives which indicates that there was a Francis Croucher, eldest son of Christopher Croucher, who was mercer, and owned property in Midhurst in 1769.

By FRANCIS CROUCHER of Midhurst, mercer, eldest son and heir of Christopher Croucher late of the same place, mercer decd., who was eldest son and heir of Francis Croucher late of Midhurst, bricklayer, also decd. to ANTHONY Viscount MONTAGUE of All that little meadow, piece or parcel of meadow ground containing 1 acre in Midhurst having the meadow theretofore of Richard Young, gent., E., the river, N., the meadow theretofore of Mary Morrison, widow, W. and the Bye Lane. The said piece of meadow being late in the occupation of Robert Alberry and then of William Spershott.
