In the 1871 census as Ellen Croucher aged 8, born in Greatham, Hampshire, and living with her parents (Daniel and Ann), brother (Samuel) and sister (Eliza) in Greatham.
In the 1881 census as Ellen Croucher aged 19, born in Greatham, Hampshire, unmarried, employed as a general servant, and living with Thos. Oliver Charters (aged 47, born in Chillingham, Northumberland and employed as an Inspecting Marine Engineer ), his wife (Isabelle Marion Elizth aged 41, and born in Newcastle, Northumberland ), their two sons (John aged 22, born in Newcastle, unmarried and employed as a marine engineer, and Thos Oliver aged 8 and born in Bow, Middlesex) and three daughters (Ellen Oliver aged 16, born in Houghton Le Saring, Durham, Isabella Marion Elizth aged 17 and born in Bermondsey, Surrey, and Mary Wilson aged 12 and born in the City of London) at 73 Bow Road, London, Middlesex (not in A-Z).
I cannot find an entry in the 1891 census.
Marriage of Ellen Croucher and William Oakley in FreeBMD October-December 1894 in Petersfield (2c 295).
In the 1901 census as Ellen Oakley aged 34 (39 would be more accurate), born in Greatham, Hampshire, and living with her husband (William), two sons (Arthur and Leonard), daughter (Dorothy), and two servants (Agnes Jane Taylor aged 25 and born in Wark, Northumberland and Charlotte E H Walton aged 31 and born in Alton, Staffordshire, both single) in Catesby, Northamptonshire.
The census gives all children as born in Catesby, but I cannot find any in FreeBMD - there is an Arthur Gordon registered in Nuneaton in 1897, and a Dorothy in Loughbro in 1900.
Greatham is 2 miles east of Empshott.
