In the 1891 census as Eliza Croucher aged 21, born in Southampton, single, employed as a tailoress, and a visitor to Issac Songer (aged 50, born in Mayland, Suffolk and employed as a port messenger), his wife (Caroline aged 44 and born in Guernsey), their four children (Edith aged 15, Florence aged 19 and employed as a dressmaker, Issac aged 12 and May aged 10), their neice (Florence Songer aged 2) and three boarders at 30 Shirley Grove, Battersea, London.
