There was an entry in FamilyHistory Online for Clement Croucher buried on 13 October 1771 at East Dean W Sussex in Wills Now Preserved in the Probate Registry at Chichester "Croucher, Clement, Eastdean 42 296 1772".

The following entry from Access to Archives states his mother's maiden name was Vaughan not Micklam, - she was a widow when she married his father.
"FILE - Deeds - ref. WISTON/3147-3154 - date: 1750-1788 Elizabeth Croucher (née Vaughan) of Eastdean, widow, by her will, 29 Jan. 1749/50, devised all her estate to Clement Croucher of Eastdean, yeo., her only son (no. WISTON/3147), who conveyed the above property, 2, 3 Oct. 1764, to William Pannat of Thakeham, carpenter (nos. WISTON/3148, WISTON/3149). The latter, having mortgaged the property (with bond), 28 July 1787, to James Hunt of Kirdford, farmer (nos. WISTON/3150, WISTON/3151), conveyed it, 9, 10 Oct. 1788, in consideration of £60 to himself and £120 to his mortgagee, to Charles Goring of Wiston, esq. (nos. WISTON/3152, WISTON/3153) and the residue of the mortgage term was assigned to Thomas Dennett of Storrington, surgeon, in trust to attend the inheritance (no. WISTON/3154)."

"FILE - Deeds of tenement, garden, orchard and 3 yardlands in East Dean, late in occ. of Clement Croucher and purchased by his grandfather, John, from John Hale. - ref. GOODWOOD/E2000-2022 - date: 1706-1793 [...] The deeds recited in abstracts of title (nos. E2019 and 2020, the former endorsed with counsel's opinion, 1791, and the latter endorsed with counsel's opinions, 1809, 1810) are present except for an indenture, 27 Jan. 1735, and the will, 25 Sept. 1771, of Clement Croucher. No. GOODWOOD/E2005 is the probate, 3 July 1734, of the will, 25 Sept. 1733, with codicils, of Clement Croucher of East Dean, yeoman, Nos. E2016-2018 are receipts, 1791, of John Croucher for the purchase money of (i) barn and yardland called Bacons, Overlong Field (7a.), West Field, Lodge Field, 24a. customary land and common of pasture for 60 sheep and 15 hogs; (ii) cotland called Aylings and a cottage in East Dean; (iii) for interest on £1100.

GOODWOOD/E2030, 2031 - date: 29 Dec 1768 [...] Clement Croucher of East Dean, yeoman, to Charles, 3rd Duke of Richmond.[...] Rights of pasture for all beasts except 510 sheep on Southside Down which Croucher claims as a copyholder of the manor of East Dean."
John Micklam was probably his mother's first husband as she married a John Micklam or Mickleham in Patching in 1707, and John Croucher Clement's brother.

Clement Croucher was the four great grandson of Walter Croucher.
