In the 1851 census as Henry Croucher aged 10, born in Christchurch, and living with his parents (Auther and Louisa), two brothers (Alfred and Nanie), daughter (Katherine), cousin (friend in the index) (Ann Nitton aged 24, born in Wales, married and a needlewoman) and her two daughters (Elizabeth and Mary both aged 6 and born in Portsmouth) at Hydepark Corner, Landport, Portsea.
In the 1861 census as Arthur H Croucher aged 9, born in Christchurch, and living with his parents (Arthur and Eliza - sic on the original), son (Arthur H), two daughters (Catherine J and Ellen) at 6 Gloucester Street, Landport, Portsea, Hampshire (note the whole family is given as born in Portsea). This address was shared with another family. Authur Henry is given as 9 but there is no record of his birth around 1852 and I assume his age is a mistake and should have been 19.
