There is a submitted entry in the IGI for the christening of Anne Croucher on 7 May 1837 in Sopley, Hampshire, parents Thomas and Ann Croucher.

In the 1841 census as Ann Croucher aged 3, born in Hampshire, and living with Thomas (father?), Ann (mother?), Alexander, Charles, Emily, Hannah, John, Selina and William (brothers and sisters?) at Ripley, Sopley, Hampshire.

In the 1851 census as Anne Croucher aged 12, born in Sopley, and living with her parents (Thomas and Anne), two brothers (Alexander and John), and two sisters (Elizabeth and Selina) at at Ripley Townsend, Sopley, Hampshire.

In the 1861 census as Anni Croucher aged 24, born in Ripley, Hampshire, single, employed as a house servant, and living with Adam M Allen (aged 39, born in Mellin Mowbry, Leicestershire and employed as a chemist), his wife (Mary J aged 35 and born in Newport, Isle of Wight) and daughter (Alice M N aged 2 months and born in Lymington) at 117 High Street, Lymington, Hampshire.

She had two sons, father unknown, James in Christchurch and Fred in Ringwood.

In the 1891 census as Ann Rogers aged 54, born in Ripley, and living with her husband (Charles), son (Fred), two daughters (Florence and Lucy), at Park Hill (the previous address is Bagnum Farm), Ringwood.

In the 1901 census as Anne Rogers aged 65, born in Christchurch and living with her husband (Charles) at Sandford (next address is Bagnum), Ringwood.

Ripley is just north of Sopley, and three miles north of Christchurch. Christchurch was in Hampshire until 1974.
