Notes

Birth of Amy Matilda Croucher in FreeBMD in July-September 1859 at St. Saviour (1d 32)

In the 1861 census as Amy M Croucher aged 2, born in Southwark, Surrey, and living with her parents (George and Ann E), and a visitor Amy Sturt at 1 Pond Yard (shared with several other families), Southwark St Saviour.

I cannot find any entry for any of the family in the 1871 census, but I believe her father died in 1862 or 1864 and her mother in 1869.

In the 1881 census as Amy E Croucher aged 21, born in St Saviour, Surrey, single, employed as a general servant and living with Alfred Bowes (aged 51, born in Lambeth and employed as a merchant), his wife Sarah A (aged 35 and born in Lewisham), and three children (John H aged 22 and employed as a clerk, Mary Ann aged 20 and Florence M aged 10 months) at 146 New Kent Road, Newington London.

There is an entry in FreeBMD for the marriage of Amy Matilda Croucher to either William Hurst or James Benjamin Kelly in January-March 1884 in Lambeth (1d 428) but I cannot find any later information.
