In the 1891 census as Alfred Croucher, aged 18, born in Southampton, single, employed as a labourer, and living on his own in one room at Poplar Cottage, South Stoneham, Southampton, Hampshire (this was shared with two other families).

George W Fenn and Charlotte Mabel Fenn were the children of George Fenn born about 1841 in Norwich and Charlotte Fenn born about 1854 in Southampton.
