Entry in Ancestry British Army WWI Pension Records 1914-1920 for Alfred Percy Croucher No 160855 Royal Army Medical Corps. Two addresses are given 1 Cluton Cottages, Whitemans Green, and Stocklands Cottages, both in Cuckfield. He was married on 9 June 1906, and two children Albert born 7 August 1909 and Lilian born 6 October 1918. He enlisted on 24 June 1916 and joined the Royal Sussex Regiment 593920 on 6 September 1916 in Chichester. He was a cowman, aged 31 years and 9 days (should be months?), height 5 ft 4 inches, weight 111 lbs, chest 36 + 2 inches and good physical development. He served in France in the BEF from 27 December 1916 to 17 November 1917, suffered from Rhumatism on10 August 1917, transfered to Labour Corps in Sutton 17 June 1918 and was discharged on 8 September 1919.
