Welcome to my home page - I'm a Communications Consultant working for my own company Croucher Consultants Ltd. Apart from work my interests include travel in general, walking, wine making, armchair caving (as I fear my active days are over) and once a year making Christmas cake. I have also been doing some research into the Croucher family tree.
We live at Pease Pottage some 3 miles south of Crawley in West Sussex.
I am a member of the British Cave Research Association, the Institution of British Telecommunications Engineers or The Communications Network and the British Interplanetary Society.
I am also studying for a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies at the Open University, this year being spent on Financial Accounting, having recently completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Computing in Industry and Commerce, and a very enjoyable year on the History of Mathematics.
We have recently (26 October 2010) installed photovoltaic (pv) solar panels and these notes give some feedback on the results so far. In January we installed an air source heat pump to use the electricity produced.
